It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers should provide a safe and healthy environment for their employees. If the assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need for qualified First Aiders, then this course will provide you with suitable and highly trained staff. This course is to refresh and renew already qualified Health & Safety First Aid at Work personnel. The course re-establishes the skills and knowledge taught on the four day course. It also re-educates in any changes within the First Aid and CPR guidelines. This course will give candidates a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. How long does the course take?The course takes approximately 12 hours spread over a two day period. Ideally the course should be run over two consecutive days but First For Medical Training Ltd realise that this is not always possible so therefore can accomodate your needs. What Does the Course Cover?The course covers a wide range of subjects, these include:
If your organisation has a specific area of training that is not included, for example crush injuries for the Construction Industry then we can accomodate you by providing additional training. What do you get when you have completed the four days?On completion of the four days and on successful assessment candidates will recieve a wall certificate that is valid for three years. This qualification can be renewed by attending an appropriate 2 day refresher. How many people can take part in the course?The maximum we can teach on this course is 12 candidates. Candidates must be of 16 years of age. Where does the course take place?The course can be delivered at your premises subject to pre course assessment or the we run weekly courses in Harrogate. |
