Manual handling activities are the cause of numerous accidents in the workplace and also long term disorders such as back pain and reduced mobility. This course will enable candidates to look carefully at their own work activities and contribute to the development of safer methods and tasks in co-operation with their managers and supervisors.
This Manual Handling course is intended to provide candidates with the understanding of how to safely handle loads. The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 is the legislation that each and every company should abide by.
How Long Does the Course Take?
The course will take approximately 3/4 hours. The course is split into theory and practical sessions.

The course covers a wide range of subjects, these include:

- Prevention of Accidents
- Lifting
- Lowering
- Carrying

What do you get when you have completed the course?
On completion of the course you will receive a wall certificate that will be valid for 12 months.
How many people can take part in the course?
The maximum we can teach on this course is 12 candidates. Candidates must be of 16 years of age.
Where does the course take place?
The course can be delivered at your premises subject to pre course assessment or we run weekly courses in Harrogate.
