Manual Handling

Manual handling covers a wide variety of tasks including lifting, lowering, pushing, pulling and carrying. When any of these tasks are not performed properly there is a risk of injury.

Employers have a legal obligation to properly train employees involved in manual handling activities, this training reduces the risk of injury and so lessens lost time due to work related injuries and also potential liability claims.
